Your Role:
The Human Resources Generalist III at LDIS LLC, a Tetra Tech Company, is a key contributor to both strategic and administrative HR functions, working closely with the corporate HR, benefits & payroll teams and leadership. This role supports a broad range of responsibilities including recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, compliance with labor laws and company policies, performance management, training coordination, benefits administration, payroll processing, and employee engagement. The position plays a critical role in fostering a positive workplace culture, maintaining accurate HR records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and contributing to special HR projects. Strong experience in HR operations, interpersonal skills, and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset are essential for success in this role
Job Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Lead the recruitment process by creating job postings, screening candidates, coordinating interviews, conducting reference checks, drafting offer letters and onboarding new hires to ensure a smooth integration.
- Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries, help address concerns and assist with conflict resolution to foster a positive workplace environment. Supports and executes workplace investigations as needed.
- HR Compliance: Ensure all HR processes and policies are aligned with local, state, and federal labor laws, as well as company policies and procedures. Assist with audits and reporting as needed (i.e. workers compensation audit).
- HR Administration: Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system, manage employee documentation, and support administrative tasks related to payroll, benefits, unemployment claims, I-9's, personnel files and leave management.
- Performance Management: Coordinate the annual performance review process. Partner with managers to provide coaching and support on performance management, including employee evaluations, goal setting, and feedback discussions.
- Training & Development: Assist in organizing training programs and professional development initiatives, helping to foster skill-building and career growth for employees. Member of mentorship committee.
- Benefits: Liaise with corporate benefits team to address employee questions on the benefits programs, including health insurance, 401(k) plans, ESPP and other employee perks. Assist with annual benefit enrollment communications. As needed, help resolve benefit deduction discrepancies with corporate payroll and benefits team.
- Payroll Administration: Responsible for payroll change summaries to send to corporate and reconciliation payroll reports each pay period. Ensuring timely and accurate salary payments, tax withholdings, and benefits deductions. Assist with timecard management for Friday deadline from all employees ensuring all are submitted.
- Employee Engagement: Support employee engagement initiatives, monthly newsletter, employee recognition programs, events, and communication strategies to promote a strong company culture.
- Workplace Safety: Collaborate with the Health & Safety Manager, assist with maintaining and overseeing safety procedures for office-based employees, fostering a safe working environment.

Oversee and manage leave of absence administration, ensuring compliance with FMLA, ADA, and other applicable laws.
- Lead the employee off-boarding process, including exit interviews, final documentation, and coordination with payroll and IT.
- Special Projects: Support special HR projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 3-7 years of professional experience in human resources.
- B.S./B.A. from an accredited university.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification or desire to obtain certification is a plus.
- Thorough understanding of local, state and federal HR laws and regulations (i.e. FMLA, ADA, EEOC).
- Experience with onboarding and recruiting strategy required.
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations and performance management.
- Experience with HRIS and applicant tracking systems (ATS) such as Taleo, is preferred.
- High level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information. The ability to exercise poise, tactfulness, and diplomacy in sensitive and confidential situations.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Must possess proactive, positive problem-solving skills and be an energetic, enthusiastic, collaborative team player.
- Experience in applying the principles, practices, and procedures of human resource administration in the areas of recruitment and employment, compensation, and employee relations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or similar tools.

Salary Range: $78,000 - $93,000 annually depending on level of experience, education & location.
