Your Role:

  • Maintain a safe, efficient, and well-organized laboratory environment and operations.
  • Work safely in a laboratory setting, demonstrating strong attention to detail while performing repetitive and routine tasks.
  • Clean, organize, and maintain laboratory equipment, tools, and work areas.
  • Perform warehousing, shipping, and receiving activities in support of lab operations.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams to support accurate and timely project execution.
  • Assist engineers and technologists with experimental setup, testing, and equipment configuration.
  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain analytical equipment and supporting laboratory infrastructure.
  • Label, collect, track, and log samples from experimental activities in accordance with procedures.
  • Compile, organize, and maintain accurate experimental data and documentation (e.g., lab notebooks, photographs, records).
  • Fabricate and machine custom parts, fixtures, and tooling required for experimental setups.
  • Support procurement of parts and equipment, including vendor coordination and Quality Assurance (QA) requirements.
  • Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
  • Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
  • Additional duties as required.

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Chemical Technology, Mechanical Technology, or a related technical discipline.
  • 0-2 years of industrial of relevant industrial, laboratory, or research experience. New graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with mechanical systems, equipment assembly, and use of power tools.
  • The following skills and experience are considered assets:
    • Operation of analytical instrumentation and familiarity with analytical and chemical laboratory techniques
    • Installation, operation, and troubleshooting of pumps, piping, and related process equipment
    • Photography, lighting, and camera setup for technical or documentation purposes
    • Forklift and scissor lift operation (certification preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed.  

The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 per year. Please note that various factors are considered in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.
