The Opportunity

Position Overview

Reporting to the Deputy Director-Operations, the Manager, Support Services is responsible for the oversight and operational management of the program's assets and logistics, Administration, and Information Management and Technology functions. The role drives the design and implementation of policies, systems, and processes that foster innovation, maximize delivery of high-quality program outcomes, and ensure a strong service orientation to other parts of the Program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and operational management of assets and logistics, office administration, and information and communications technology functions.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to support efficient and effective service delivery in support services.
  • Lead assets and logistics, office administration, and information and communications technology policy development and ensure AAPNG systems and procedures are current, compliant, and responsive to operational needs
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members and stakeholders.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the support services annual workplan and budget
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of support services functions, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance effectiveness, efficiency, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction
  • Ensure a safe, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culture aligned with Tetra Tech values.
  • Other duties as reasonably requested by DFAT and Tetra Tech.

Selection Criteria

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years' experience in business support functions or operations, including 5 years of management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing multi-disciplinary support service teams including administration, logistics, and ICT.
  • Proven ability to drive organisational change processes and ensure compliance with policies and procedures that enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Capacity to foster an internal customer service culture.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
