We are seeking a motivated NEPA Specialist with 5-7 years of experience to support environmental planning and compliance for military beddown, airspace management, noise studies, traffic, and utility analyses. The process for implementing the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) is a set of procedures that federal agencies use to evaluate the environmental effect of their proposed actions. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience leading NEPA analysis and documentation efforts for airspace, noise, traffic, and utility; coordinating with interdisciplinary teams; and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Responsibilities:
• Technical writing of Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) and Environmental Assessments (EA) for air space, air quality, noise, traffic and transportation, and utilities for federal clients.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to assess the impact of federal actions.
• Engage with stakeholders, including federal agencies (e.g., FAA, EPA), local governments, and the public, to address environmental concerns and compliance.
• Analyze federal actions including beddown projects, ensuring the environmental sustainability of water, power, and other essential systems.
• Prepare and review NEPA documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations and timely submission of all reports.
• Manage project timelines and budgets, and support senior staff in managing NEPA projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor's in Data Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Planning, or a related field.
• 5-7 years of experience in NEPA compliance, preferably with DoD or aerospace projects and/or transportation.
• Excellent analytical, modeling, and data reduction skills.
• Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills.
• Experience working with military beddown projects is highly desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to travel for fieldwork and site assessments.
This position requires the candidate to be a U.S. Citizen due to the projects they will be working on.

However, occasionally travel and onsite work maybe required which could require lifting 25 pounds of documents or equipment, traversing uneven terrain during site visits, standing long periods of time at public meetings.

That can be work from a home office of in a Tetra Tech office. However, there are occasional requirements to make site visits to perform field work or to client sites. This requires the ability to perform work in an office environment or outdoors while conducting data gathering site visits, participating in on-site meetings, and attending conferences or other training and business development activities off-site.
Language & Communication Skills: Must be fluent in the English language, writing and speaking.
Must possess excellent writing capabilities and have experience generating reports suitable for submittal to clients. Is expected to make verbal presentations including project summaries, technical status, reports, etc.
Mathematical Skills: Advanced math skills are required for providing environmental analyses for documents applicable to NEPA.
Other Skills: Fluency with computer software including knowledge of primary Microsoft Office applications (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, TEAMS and Outlook) is required.
