Job Description:
LST is seeking a motivated and dedicated Project Control Analyst (PCA) to support our Business Management Organization (PMO). The position requires that the individual participate in the planning, tracking, analysis and reporting of performance on projects of varying contract type, size, complexity and level of risk. The PCA is a key member of the program team and works directly with the program teams to help define the project's goals and objectives; and recommends actions to improve progress and performance. The PCA will have significant interface with Business Unit VPs, Directors, Program/Project Managers, senior technical staff, as well as other functional organizations including Finance, Accounting, Contracts, and Business Development.
Hybrid Role based out of Washington, DC
Job duties/responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Set up, maintain, oversee, and coordinate all business/financial operations on LST's contract(s)
- Review monthly invoices for accuracy, generate required invoice backup data, and assist in improving cash flow wherever possible
- Track and notify stakeholders of upcoming funding depletion dates
- Respond to ad hoc data calls from customers or external stakeholders (e.g., pricing comparisons)
- Serve as the business point of contact with LST's customers (government or Prime contractor)
- Analyze and package financial data for accurate and compliant internal and external reporting requirements/deliverables (e.g., Monthly Cost Status Reports, quarterly Program Management Reviews, Funding/Expenditure Reports)
- Participate in the development of budgets (spend plans) for assigned programs and performs and/or assist in financial analysis such as funding profiles and variance analysis
- Track the budget, forecast expenditures, monitor actuals, and report outcome data for individual task orders (i.e., Estimates to Complete (ETC) and Estimates at Completion (EAC) analysis).
- Support the preparation of periodic cost and schedule control reports, including reconciliation of actual incurred costs and hours versus the budget; analyzing progress to date, making recommendations as to forecasted cost. This will include the development of Estimate to Complete (ETC) and Estimates at Completion (EAC).
- Provide ad hoc financial reporting to the Program Manager and Task Leads
- Prepare and process travel, ODC, and training requests and coordinate Government approvals
- Help to establish and track performance metrics in support of ISO audits
- Control and reconcile all changes to the performance measurement baseline; support variance/trend analysis
- Support requests for profitability analysis and pricing efforts as needed
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field and at least five (5) years or more of related experience
- Government contracting experience
- Demonstrated working knowledge in government program finance and contract types: Firm Fixed Price, Time and Materials and Cost Reimbursable
- Costpoint/Deltek experience
- Requires proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of applications, including Microsoft 365, and Excel experience such as Pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP formulas
- Strong organizational, time-management and communication skills, the ability to perform effectively within deadlines and detail-oriented
- Attentive and strategic thinker who possesses problem solving skills
- Ability to process and hold confidential, sensitive information
- Authorized to work in the US for any employer
Preferred Qualifications, but not required:
- Smartsheet experience preferred
- Cognos experience preferred

Compensation (Pay Bands)
Salary at LST is determined by a wide array of factors, such as (but not limited to) education, certifications, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, location, and clearance level, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
The projected compensation range for this position is provided within the posting and is based on full-time, 40 hour/week status. Part-time staff receive compensation at an hourly rate. The estimated minimum and maximum displayed represents the broadest range for this position (inclusive of high geographic and high clearance requirements) and is just one component of LSTs total compensation package for employees. ** In compliance with local laws, LS Technologies presents this reasonable compensation range as a guideline for roles in California, Colorado, New York, or Washington D.C."
