Your Role:

 

The Science Intern will support the Project Managers with planning and project execution for a variety of municipal, state, and federal clients throughout Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic region. The individual will assist in planning environmental/remediation and design projects, performing cost calculations to support remediation and construction projects, collecting data at project job sites, report writing, permitting, and other aspects of our projects. Major duties/responsibilities of the position include:

•    Working with a project team to support a variety of government and commercial projects.
•    Participating in report writing, calculations, presentations, and design for a variety of environmental, land development and water resources projects.
•    Participating in feasibility studies, writing reports, editing specifications, and editing technical memoranda.
•    Participating in the preparation of geographic information systems databases, design drawings, calculations, modeling, and regulatory permitting.
•    Effectively communicate and coordinate with project managers, subconsultants and other project team members and disciplines.
•    Other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications:

•    Enrolled in a 4-year bachelor's degree program in the sciences.
•    Previous internship experience in environmental consulting, engineering, and projects for government and commercial clients is preferred. 
•    Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills.
•    Effective time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
•    A valid driver's license in good standing.
•    Due to contractual requirements, must be a US Citizen
