Tetra Tech AMT is looking for a Senior I IT Analyst - Network Management Support to support our FAA business. The IT Analyst will be a key member of the I&O Network Management branch, responsible for enabling the successful operation of the Agency's network systems and services. This role involves managing LANs, WANs, and wireless infrastructure while ensuring integration with Agency Cloud Services, colocation facilities, and telecommunications infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of networking technologies, troubleshooting skills, and experience in implementing network solutions to maintain service availability and compliance with standards.
- **Network Operations Support:** Support, replace, and maintain switches and routers across multiple locations, including hardware support, life cycle management (LCM) replacement, incident response, and outage response
- **Wireless Services Maintenance:** Support, replace, and maintain wireless services, ensuring hardware functionality and incident response
- **VOIP Infrastructure Support:** Manage and maintain the Voice Over IP (VOIP) infrastructure to ensure communication reliability
- **Security Coordination:** Coordinate with Agency IT Services security to support certification and accreditation initiatives and other security initiatives
- **Security Patch Application:** Apply necessary security patches to switches, routers, and wireless controllers/access points to maintain system integrity
- **IPv6 Implementation:** Implement IPv6 upgrades to Agency IT Services networks to modernize capabilities
- **Network Standards:** Establish and document standards for network technologies to support consistent implementation and configuration
- **Change Validation:** Validate proposed network changes to ensure compliance with established standards and requirements
- **Network Assessment:** Perform network assessments and provide comprehensive reports on performance and integrity
- **New Technology Testing:** Test new technologies and solutions for potential integration into the network environment
- **Network Solution Design:** Design network solutions tailored to meet the operational and security requirements of the Agency
- **Documentation:** Document network solutions, configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps to provide clear guidance and reference
- **Solution Implementation:** Plan, design, and implement network solutions, including facility network cabling and conducting site surveys while adhering to Agency network standards and change management processes
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, network engineering, or a related IT degree.
- Eight (8) years of relevant experience in network management and administration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to troubleshoot and resolve networking issues independently
- Proficiency in managing and configuring network devices, including switches, routers, and wireless access points
- Familiarity with Voice Over IP (VOIP) infrastructure and cabling practices
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with security teams and documenting processes effectively
- Knowledge of network standards, configuration management, and change management best practices
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage tasks across multiple locations and projects
