Position Overview

The Senior Manager, Knowledge Hub is responsible for leading and managing the Australia Awards PNG Knowledge Hub, which encompasses the Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) team and the Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) team. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will establish and drive the vision and strategy for the Knowledge Hub to enhance program quality, ensure alignment with DFAT and Tetra Tech standards, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, implementation, and management of MERL and GEDSI frameworks and plans aligned with Global Australia Awards and DFAT policies.
  • Oversee program research and analysis to inform priorities and decision-making.
  • Ensure comprehensive reporting and evaluation, capturing lessons learned and fostering innovation.
  • Develop and manage the Knowledge Hub annual budget, monitor expenditure, and provide regular forecasts.
  • Champion compliance with Tetra Tech, DFAT, PNG legislation, and international best practices.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and high-performing workplace that values staff wellbeing and professional development.
  • Promote collaboration across all Australia Awards PNG components to ensure program coherence and positive GEDSI outcomes.
  • Deliver high-quality outputs, reports, and compliance documentation on time.

Selection Criteria

Essential

  • Postgraduate qualification in monitoring and evaluation, international development, international and comparative education, public policy, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of post-studies employment, including demonstrable experience in progressively more responsible management roles with donor or managing contractors in an international development context.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and managing MERL frameworks and GEDSI strategies.
  • Experience leading teams, managing budgets, and driving program compliance and quality.
  • Strong analytical, research, report writing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to operate with innovation, adaptability, and resilience in complex environments.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
