Your Role:

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking a full time Water Resources Engineer to support our growing New Ventures and Mission Critical water supply team.  The position will be responsible for technical work assignments related to water supply evaluations associated with site selection due diligence, feasibility studies, water availability modeling (groundwater and/or surface water), and permit application development.

  • Research, summarize, and explain regulatory and technical requirements related to water supply development to technical and non-technical stakeholders and clients.

  • Successfully complete tasks independently. 

  • Write documents and reports, including technical and financial analysis, and provide conclusions and recommendations. 

  • Conduct presentations to internal and external clients.

  • Collaborate with diverse teams.

  • Utilize expertise (technical, logistical, regulatory, and finance) to develop project strategies and assess project risk.

  • Work with and build relationships with public, commercial, or international customers by managing and executing tasks and delivering high quality client products and services. 

  • Use familiarity with existing and potential clients, academic researchers, and other consultants to identify new clients and business opportunities.

  • Support project and business development activities, proposal generation, market assessments, and strategic planning. 

  • Travel periodically to client/project sites for meetings or other activities may be required.  
     

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's of Master's degree in engineering, 10-15 years of work expereince related to water supply planning, water infrastructure design.

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have above average technical writing skills, and some knowledge in the following areas:

    • Subsurface Geology.

    • Hydrogeology.

    • Civil Engineering.

    • Water well design.

    • Pump selection.

    • Groundwater and surface water regulations.

    • Consulting experience.

  • Additional preferred qualifications include:

    • Fluid flow in proous media.

    • Injection wells.

    • Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements.

    • Numerical modeling.

    • PE License.
