Your Role:
The Transportation Project Manager (PM) will execute a variety of transportation assignments involving highways, local roadways, bicycle facilities, and bridge capital improvement projects.
- Develop and maintain close working relationships with clients
- Write a scope of work for transportation design services based on preliminary review and meetings with the client;
- Manage and prepare engineering studies, schematic design, and final design of highways, intersections, and roadways including plans, specifications, and estimates;
- Manage, assign, and review the work of the project design team. Check the progress of work and identify changes in scope or additional services;
- Coordinate all aspects of project documentation within the company and externally with clients;
- Promote the use of and participate in the development of company design quality and production standards;
- Act as a technical advisor to less experienced engineers and technicians; manage and mentor staff;
- Acquire new projects from existing and potential clients;
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering required
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in California required, or able to obtain within 6 months
- 10+ years of related experience in transportation engineering preferred
- Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record
- Current relevant transportation engineering experience in Southern California required; Experience with Caltrans preferred
- Experience writing proposals highly desired
- Familiarity with relevant transportation engineering codes and industry standards;
- Working knowledge of stormwater and utility design a plus
- Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
- This position could require periodic travel, approximately 15% or more
Salary Range: $123,000 - $160,000, depending on experience.
