For more than 110 years, The Harris Products Group has been partnering with our customers in the soldering, welding, cutting and gas distribution industries to become a world leader and create a firm foundation in equipment and alloys used in brazing, soldering, cutting, heating and gas control. We are currently looking for a Senior Product Manager to help support our business, customers and product development teams.

 

About the role

 

Product Strategy and Roadmap:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and market trends.
    • Define and maintain a product roadmap that reflects the vision and priorities for the product portfolio.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, sales, and customer support, to ensure successful product development and launch.
    • Foster a collaborative environment and effectively communicate product goals and requirements across the organization.

 

Market Analysis and Research:

    • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscapes, and customer needs.
    • Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and guide product development.

 

Product Development and Lifecycle Management:

    • Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch and beyond.
    • Define product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria to guide development teams.

 

Product Performance Monitoring:

    • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of products.
    • Analyze data and customer feedback to iterate on existing products and inform future enhancements.

 

Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Engage with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and internal teams, to gather feedback and insights.
    • Act as a product evangelist, effectively communicating product value propositions internally and externally.

 

Budget Management:

    • Collaborate with finance and executive teams to develop and manage product budgets.
    • Ensure optimal resource allocation to achieve product goals within financial constraints.

 

Qualification - What will you bring to the role?  

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (MBA is preferred).
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager, with a focus on senior-level responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to effectively lead others, set deadlines, and develop solutions to propel projects forward
  • Ability to work on both tactical and strategic projects across disciplines, including Sales, Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing, R&D, Marketing Communications, Planning, and Customer Service
  • Demonstrated success in launching and managing successful products in a dynamic and competitive market.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with [industry-specific tools and technologies].
  • Proficient in SAP and MS Office including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
  • Willing to travel approximately 25% of the time
