Pay Range: $85,000 - $110,000 (based on experience)

Main Function: The Benefits Manager is responsible for designing and overseeing benefit programs to attract, reward and retain Thompson Health associates. Provides strategic leadership, communications and compliance oversight for benefits, leave administration and retirement functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Administer Benefit Programs: Develop and manage benefit packages, including health insurance, retirement plans.
- Compliance: Ensure all benefit programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Vendor Management: Select and manage relationships with benefit vendors.
- Employee Support: Provide information and support to employees regarding their benefits.
- Reporting: Prepare and distribute reports on benefit usage and trends.
- Education: Provide education to leaders & employees about legal guidance & solutions to challenges at all levels (health system, personal, departmental).
- Technology and Data: Optimize technology solutions, design workflow process improvements and compile meaningful, persuasive data.

- Strong understanding of employee benefits laws and regulations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Communication and presentation skills to effectively educate employees on benefits
- Financial acumen to manage budgets and analyze cost data
- Ability to negotiate with insurance providers and vendors
- Project management skills to oversee complex benefit initiatives
- Strategy creation and execution
- Proficient in HR systems, ad hoc reporting and experienced MS Office user (tableau or similar helpful)
- Exceptional skill in leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field required.
- Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in benefits, leave management and retirement planning leadership required.
- Professional HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SPHR or PHR) or CEBS benefits certification designation preferred.
Pay Range: $85,000 - $110,000
