Summary of Job Duties: The Post-Doctoral Fellow position will be in the research group of Dr. Jennifer Guimbellot, in the Department of Pediatrics, Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine. The Post-Doctoral Fellow will work on projects relating to the use of CFTR modulator therapy in patients with cystic fibrosis, to understand better how to personalize and optimize the use of the medications in children and adults with cystic fibrosis.
Qualifications:

Ph.D or PharmD required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience with electronic medical records, data collection, basic analysis, and scientific writing.

  • Interest in additional training is desired, which would include training in clinical research project management, clinical pharmacology analyses, data analysis, grant writing, and scientific writing.

  • Strong skills in written communication with scrupulous attention to detail.

  • Required to apply for a post-doctoral research fellowship award during the first year of the appointment.


Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

  • Help generate new projects by developing and submitting grant applications and proposals.

  • Initiate and maintain collaborator relationships, with research service providers, and other relevant research entities.

  • Develop projects to include participating in research design, identifying participants, determining data elements, selecting or developing measurement tools, and completing deliverables.

  • Maintain the integrity of sampling and data collection efforts.

  • Perform data analysis, including graphical representations of the data, preparation of datasets for statistical analysis, and descriptive analysis, reviewing quantitative data output for accuracy.

  • Develop, submit, and present conference presentations and help publish manuscripts.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
