Position Summary: 

Operate hospital-wide communications system, including clear paging, beeping and knowledge of emergency equipment. Being cheerful and informative in communicating with the public, patients, employees and medical staff while working in a fast paced, intense environment while remaining calm. Is aware of all hospital functions and stays updated in order to answer questions. Ability to operate security base station radio to dispatch officers to correct locations. Maintains and completes various dispatch forms, log books on codes and hospital information and checklists for HEAR radio base station daily.

Required Qualifications:

 

 High School Diploma or equivalent. Preferred: Typing 35 wpm/ medical terminology. Able to read, write and speak English. Must work well with patients/doctors and other staff.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
