JOB DESCRIPTION:
Responsibilities include direct clinical care in a dynamic, growing academic health center. The ability to apply creativity to program growth and development in service of our teaching, research, and clinical care missions is highly desirable, as is the ability to work collaboratively. Candidates should be comfortable in providing a broad spectrum of obstetrical and gynecologic care, including gynecologic surgery. Focus areas of special interest in women's health care are encouraged and supported.
As a member of a dedicated team, you will provide care as an obstetrician/gynecologist at UF Health Shands Hospital, see patients at various clinics, and perform major and minor gynecologic surgeries. You also will share responsibility for rotating night and weekend call and daytime labor and delivery coverage.
As a faculty member in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our educational mission by teaching junior medical students; serving on hospital, medical and department committees; and participating in other department activities, including rounds, special lectures and postgraduate courses. In addition, faculty members are encouraged to participate in scholarly activities, including research and quality initiatives as appropriate for experience and interests.
EXPECTED SALARY:
Negotiable; commensurate with education and experience
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Board eligible/certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and eligible for a Florida Medical License
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Terminal doctoral degree in a clinical science such as MD or DO degree. Applicants with additional educational degrees such as an MBA, MPH are encouraged to apply.
