Description
The University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry is seeking a full time cardiothoracic intensivist to join our Cardiac Surgery team at an Assistant Professor level in the Department of Surgery. The candidates must be fellowship trained in cardiothoracic surgery, pulmonology, critical care medicine, or cardiology.
The Cardiothoracic ICU is a 22 bed unit staffed with 22 APPs and provides medical management to patients with complex therapies and interventions for advanced cardiac and pulmonary failure including Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD), cardiac transplant, complex cardiac and vascular surgery, and all subspecialties of cardiology practice.
Strong Memorial Hospital is an 886-bed, Level 1 Trauma Center performing approximately 1,100 cardiac surgical cases annually.
The U of R is located in Rochester, New York and is surrounded by world class culture, affordable housing and nationally ranked public schools. The City of Rochester is a mecca for the arts: home to a philharmonic orchestra, wonderful museums including the Strong National Museum of Play, internationally recognized dance companies as well as The Eastman School of Music.
