$3,500.00 sign on bonus may be available to qualified candidates with a two–year work commitment, in accordance with UVA policy.
Performs ECG diagnostic testing Holter and cardiac event monitor placement implantable device assessment/remote interrogation and electronic clinical workflow and results data management.
Performs 12–Lead ECG, documents vital signs during stress testing, and electronic clinical workflow.
- Demonstrates the cognitive and technical skills required to acquire a 12–lead electrocardiogram (ECG) including appropriate preparation of skin surfaces, correct placement of electrodes and leads, accurate patient identification, and verification electronic upload of the ECG to the patient?s electronic medical record.
- Demonstrates proficiency in the configuration, communication, clinical use and trouble–shooting of FDA–approved medical devices including stress testing equipment.
- Provides communication with patients prior to their stress testing appointment with the correct appointment information and correct required prep.
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
Experience: No experience required.
Licensure: American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires sitting/standing for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling, reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive); Repetitive motion: Keyboard, console and workstation repetitive motion. Ability to lift/push/pull 20 ? 50lbs. May be exposed to blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
