Description

This position supports the strategic centers and institutes currently lead by
MSE faculty and staff, including the BEACONS Center and the North Texas
Semiconductor Institute. This dynamic position requires a highly organized
and detail-oriented individual with strong administrative and project
coordination skills. Will provide coordination of administrative and reporting
activities in the day-to-day operation of an assigned program or project.

Minimum Education and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- A minimum of two years of experience providing support to programs or projects or an equivalent combination of education and experience.



Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree and five years of office administration or project management experience including two years at a business
coordinator level or an equivalent combination of education and
experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, PeopleSoft and eProcurement.
• Demonstrated experience providing executive-level administrative
support.
• Demonstrated experience handling confidential and sensitive
information in a professional environment.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and
collaboratively.
• Experience with project and event management processes and higher
education dynamics is a must.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Serves as the primary contact and oversees day-to-day operations of the of the centers and institutes by planning and coordinating the daily administrative tasks and activities with MSE, school and University staff.
Coordinate logistics and support events, conferences, workshops, and activities related to MSE Strategic Centers and Institutes.
Assist in preparing agendas and materials for meetings and events.
Administrative duties include managing domestic and international travel arrangements and all trip related logistics, and processing reimbursements for travel/business expenses.
Manages procurement and reimbursements, including purchase requisition submission and associated paperwork, setting up payment works, and managing vendor communications.
Requires attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
Must be able to prioritize information in a timely manner.
Requires a thorough knowledge of university policies and procedures, initiative and the ability to make decisions relative to office operations and within delegated area of responsibility.
Performs other duties as assigned.

This is an on-campus position, no remote work is available.

This position requires normal work hours of Monday through Friday from
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with occasional evening or weekend work during peak
periods.
