- Manages overall operations of the School's advising team.
- Manages a caseload of students in advising.
- Manages School's event coordination such as new student orientations.
- Serves as a primary contact point for the School's advising.
- Manages the school's advising team and delegates duties.
- Assists advisors in problem-solving complex student situations.
- Consult and coordinate with other Advising Directors to streamline student services.
- Assists in standardizing the School's advising practices to University standards.
- Assists in ensuring FERPA standards and documentation of practices.
- Serves on the School's leadership team as needed for marketing, recruitment, and planning.
- Assists in ensuring the integrity of the School's degree plan, catalog, and graduation audit.
- Serves as a point of contact to help coordinate leave and vacation coverage.
- Attends weekly advising director meetings to ensure University-wide coordination.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in counseling or a related field and 8 years experience working with college students in an academic counseling or advising capacity; or Master's degree & six years' experience as described above.
