Description
The Senior Director of Business Services serves as the key financial officer for all of University Housing at UT Dallas. This position provides leadership and oversight for all budgeting, accounting, financial and managerial reporting, internal auditing, pricing & costing, human resources & payroll, procurement, revenue enhancement and all conference activities within University Housing. The position develops long-range financial planning models in support of departmental master planning and other strategic efforts. This position serves as a member of the senior management team, is a critical resource for departmental strategic planning and the liaison in matters pertaining to business process, finance and conference services revenue.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree with ten years of work experience in related field.
Preferred Education and Experience
Master's Degree in accounting, finance, business administration, residential or hospitality management, public administration, or a closely related field. At least eight years relevant experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversight for all budgeting, accounting, financial and managerial reporting, internal auditing, pricing & costing, human resources & payroll, procurement, revenue enhancement and all financial conference activities within University Housing.
- Liaison in matters pertaining to business process, finance and conference services revenue.
- Staff supervision, team-building, organizational development, and business management.
- Departmental strategic planning. Long-range financial planning models in support of departmental master planning and other strategic efforts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Information
Remote Notice: After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
