Are you passionate about integrating career development into the student experience? The University Career Center is seeking a creative and collaborative Special Programs Coordinator to support the design and delivery of innovative, scalable, and sustainable career readiness programs.
This role focuses on instructional design, content development, and program implementation to embed career competencies into academic and co-curricular experiences. You'll work closely with faculty, staff, and campus partners to create engaging learning experiences that support student success and institutional goals.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
– 3-5 years experience providing support to programs or projects or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
· Masters degree preferred
-Experience in instructional design or curriculum development. · Familiarity with career services or higher education environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Design and implement career readiness curriculum aligned with NACE competencies.
- Develop original content and curate resources for workshops, modules, and digital learning platforms.
- Apply instructional design principles to ensure content is engaging, outcomes-driven, and assessment-ready.
- Manage learning platforms (e.g., LMS), ensuring accessibility and user engagement.
- Collaborate with faculty and departments to integrate career content into courses and programs.
- Use project management strategies to pilot, scale, and assess new initiatives.
- Communicate with students and stakeholders through targeted campaigns to drive participation and completion.
- Analyze data and feedback to continuously improve programs.
- Provide occasional career coaching and deliver presentations across campus.
- Support evening/weekend events as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Additional Information
Remote Work Statement
After the probationary period, this role may be eligible for a hybrid (partly remote/partly in office) work schedule, subject to business need and manager approval. Must be located within the DFW Area and have the ability to be on campus with 24 hours of notice. A UT Dallas Remote Work Agreement will be required within 14 days after approval.
