POSITION SUMMARY:
The Front Load Driver operates refuse collection vehicles on assigned commercial routes to safely collect and transport waste materials. This position is responsible for vehicle inspections, safe equipment operation, customer service, and maintaining productivity and safety standards throughout daily operations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
• Safely operate Front Load collection trucks on assigned commercial routes
• Service and empty front load containers using hydraulic lifting equipment
• Open container corrals and maneuver containers into position as needed
• Pick up loose debris and clean spills to maintain safe and clean service areas
• Transport waste safely to designated landfill or disposal facilities
• Complete daily route sheets, mileage logs, fuel reports, DVIRs, and required documentation
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain truck cleanliness and perform routine truck checks, including fluids, tires, and undercarriage inspections
• Communicate professionally with customers and report concerns or service issues promptly
• Follow all DOT regulations, company safety standards, and defensive driving practices
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Valid Class A or Class B CDL for the state in which the position operates
• Safe driving record required
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and commercial vehicle safety standards
• Ability to safely operate heavy equipment and hydraulic controls
• Ability to follow designated routes and work schedules efficiently
• Ability to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions
• Ability to maintain accurate records and complete required paperwork
• Must be able to speak and read English to communicate with customers, dispatch, supervisors, and team members

• Participate in company-sponsored training and safety programs
• Stay current on company technology and operational procedures
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management
