SUMMARY OF POSITION
The Waste Pro Scale Operator is an office-based position responsible for weighing trucks and entering information into the computer, including weights, materials, pricing, and customer details. This role also includes creating tickets, handling cash and check payments, and communicating with drivers and staff. The job is mainly administrative and performed in an office setting, with a focus on accuracy and customer service.
Essential Job Duties:
* Operates the weight station scale
* Greets and assists the public in a friendly manner providing quality customer service
* Enters information into computer program on a daily basis
* Prepares daily deposit
* Balances and handles cash drawer on a daily basis
* Answers the phone, Checks mail
* Prepares customer charge account invoices for billing
* Receives, annotates, and processes payments
* Prepares monthly and yearly reports as requested
* Maintains a clean, safe environment in the scale office
Qualifications
* Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
* Highly motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision
* Ability to deal effectively with people.
* Excellent verbal communication skills are required.
* Ability to multitask.
* Must have the ability to use computerized equipment and technology
* Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* MS Word and MS Excel skills required.
* Position may be required to provide coverage to other area as needed. Evening and/or weekend overtime work may be required depending on business need.
