Committed to advancing mental health initiatives with a focus on inclusivity and equity, we are seeking an experienced and visionary <strong>Director of Philanthropy</strong> to lead our fundraising efforts with a strong emphasis on Community-Centric Fundraising (CCF) and all forms of capital contributions: financial, cultural, social, and intellectual. This role sits in the DEIB department, and reports directly into the Vice President, Diversity, Equity & Inclusiveness. For a full description of benefit offerings, please visit: <a href="https://mhcd.org/workplace-of-choice/">https://WellPower.org/workplace-of-choice/</a>.</p> <p><strong>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</strong>: </p> <p><strong>Donor Relations</strong></p> <ul> <li>Implement strategies to identify, cultivate, sustain and increase individual multi-year donors and corporate giving through innovative fundraising approaches.</li> <li>Design and implement next-generation donor strategy to include culturally proficient donor engagement that fosters community investment in the mission of WellPower.</li> <li>Promote fundraising/marketing efforts through various channels, including social media, to enhance donor engagement and visibility.</li> <li>Plan and execute strategic special events to introduce and cultivate donors, enhancing donor relations and support.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Program/Internal Relations</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide strategic consultation to the Board of Directors and executive leadership on fundraising efforts and corporate sponsorships.</li> <li>Advance workplace giving campaigns and create opportunities for program staff to engage directly with donors.</li> <li>Provide leadership that advances a culture of philanthropy across the organization.</li> <li>Provide strategic consultation to the Board of Directors and executive leadership to promote fundraising efforts and corporate sponsorships.</li> <li>Actively contribute to and collaborate with the DEIB team; commit to ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and emerging trends in diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging</li> </ul> <p><strong>Areas of Giving</strong></p> <ul> <li>Ensure the vitality of the organization's annual giving initiatives.</li> <li>Work with the Vice President, DEI program leadership to cultivate and solicit major gifts.</li> <li>Design and implement capital and other fundraising campaigns. Implement and evaluate planned giving program.</li> <li>Jointly plan and execute strategic special events to introduce and cultivate donors.</li> </ul> <p><strong>EDUCATION: </strong>Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, marketing, communications, business, public administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).</p> <p><strong>EXPERIENCE: </strong>Minimum of 5 years of experience in senior-level fundraising or nonprofit management, preferably in health-related or human services organizations.</p> <p><strong>ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) certification preferred.</li> <li>Deep commitment to and understanding of Community-Centric Fundraising principles, with demonstrated experience in their application.</li> <li>Knowledge of trauma-informed principles and practices, promoting an organizational culture of respect, hope, and accountability regarding diversity, equity, and inclusiveness.</li> <li>Proven track record in major donor cultivation and stewardship, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.</li> <li>Experience in planning and executing successful fundraising campaigns and events.</li> <li>Proficiency in donor management software, MS Excel, and CRM systems for effective donor engagement and management.</li> <li>Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff, volunteers, and external partners.</li> </ul> <p><strong>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:</strong> Development Officer of Philanthropy, Donor Relations Database Manager, and Manager of Grants and Contracts.
