This position also plays a key role in ensuring insurance eligibility for services provided by WellPower and assisting with Medicaid redeterminations through PeakPro.</p> <p><span data-contrast="auto"><strong>Pay Range & Benefits:</strong></span></p> <p><span data-contrast="auto"><strong>$56,000-$70,000/yr</strong></span></p> <p>WellPower is committed to fair and equitable hiring with salaries based on relevant factors, such as work experience, education, and certification/licensure (rather than wage history). For a full description of benefit offerings, please visit: <a href="https://wellpower.org/workplace-of-choice/">https://wellpower.org/workplace-of-choice/</a>.</p> <p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Assist people we serve with completing SSI/SSDI, Medicaid, Medicare, and other public benefit applications.</li> <li>Support clients through the Social Security appeals process as needed.</li> <li>Track and assist with Medicaid redetermination deadlines for individuals, including those not enrolled in the payeeship program.</li> <li>Utilize PeakPro and other systems to manage and document benefit applications.</li> <li>Ensure insurance coverage aligns with services provided by WellPower.</li> <li>Communicate with external agencies (SSA, Health First Colorado, etc.) to gather necessary documentation or resolve issues.</li> <li>Collaborate with PFS Advisors to streamline benefits-related workflows.</li> <li>Provide customer service to individuals seeking assistance with their benefits or benefit status.</li> <li>Maintain trauma-informed principles in all interactions with clients and coworkers.</li> <li>Other duties as assigned</li> </ul> <p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, Public Administration, or related field preferred.</li> <li>Familiarity with SSA and Medicaid application and redetermination processes.</li> <li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.</li> <li>Proficient in case management software and Microsoft Office.</li> <li>Effective written and verbal communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to work independently and remotely.</li> <li>Ability to interact respectfully and professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds.</li> <li>Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills preferred but not required.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Typical Physical and Mental Demands</strong></p> <p>Requires sitting, standing bending, and reaching. May require lifting up to 25 pounds.
