Employment Status: Full-Time  Working Hours: 8am - 5pm (4 days per week) and 8am - 2pm (one day per week, (alternating Monday and Friday) Shift: 1st shift Position Reports to: Department Supervisor/Manager   POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Supervisor/Manager of Patient Accounts the Self Pay Rep will send out patient statements, make/answer patient calls, send out HCAP forms, and ensure when HCAP form is sent back that it has been completed correctly.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of Supervisor/Manager, patients, patient families, and the general public.  This would include the pediatric client, the adolescent client, the young-middle aged adult client and the geriatric client.

RESPONSIBILITY OF SELF PAY REP:
Printing and mailing patient statements.
Self-Pay Rep will call patients with outstanding balances to try to collect payment.
Mailing out HCAP form to patients to see if the patient is qualified for financial assistance.
HCAP form is received, Self-Pay Rep will ensure it was completed correctly. If not, the Self Pay Rep will call patient, advise of error(s), and mail new HCAP form to patient. 
Works mail as it applies to Self-Pay Rep.
Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED). This is an entry level position into the back-end office. Must have exceptional customer service.
