Warehouse / Forklift Associate II Needed in Compton
Monday-Friday 230pm-11pm (will move to 3rd shift after training)
$24 hour 

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse / Forklift Associate II to support freight movement and storage operations within our Container Freight Station. This role is responsible for safely loading and unloading freight, completing accurate documentation, and maintaining a clean and compliant warehouse environment.
Primary Objectives

  • Ensure efficient and accurate movement of freight using proper equipment and safety procedures
  • Complete inbound and outbound freight documentation accurately and on time
  • Support all safety, security, and workplace policies and best practices

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate electric or propane-powered forklifts (up to 35,000 lb capacity; lift heights up to 15 feet)
  • Load, unload, transport, and stack freight including crates, pallets, skids, and containers (ocean containers, vans, flatbeds, flat racks)
  • Receive freight, verify against documentation, and report discrepancies or damages
  • Load and unload containers using strip sheets and load sheets; re-cube export shipments
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization
  • Attend and participate in monthly safety meetings
  • Respond to questions from forklift operators, truck drivers, and facility visitors
  • Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
Licenses & Certifications
  • Forklift certification (required)
  • Valid state-issued driver's license with acceptable driving record (preferred)
Experience
  • Minimum 1+ year of forklift operator experience (required)

Required Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to safely and independently operate forklifts and warehouse equipment
  • Knowledge of warehouse location and documentation systems
  • Ability to complete assignments efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to read and complete freight-related documentation accurately
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
